Sonic the Hedgehog is a Mobian hedgehog gifted with the power of super-sonic speed, and the ability to control the power of the Chaos Emeralds.
The Blue Blur meets the Blue Bomber[]
After the second genesis wave is set off, Sonic finds himself in Green Hill Zone where he is confronted by the copy robot, in the guise of Mega Man. Meanwhile the real Mega Man is confronting Metal Sonic (a robot based on Sonic), Mega Man chases Metal through Green Hill Zone (which he arrived in via a Warp Ring). In the confusion Sonic and Mega Man lose their targets , and mistake eachother for their evil counterparts. They then proceed to fight. In the fight that follows Sonic dismantles Mega Man's Mega Buster (which he mockingly calls a lemon shooter).
Sonic is tricked into entering another Warp Ring to Mega Man's world, where he calls for back up in the form of Rush, Tango, Beat and Eddie. Mega Man fixes his Mega Buster and they continue their fight. Tails Man attacks the city and they break a truce to save the inhabitants. Tails is de-roboticised and the two heroes realise that they are on the same side.
